Bangladesh Betar, Bandarban: At a glance

After its inauguration in 2006, the regional center in Bandarban of our only state-run radio "Bangladesh Betar", broadcasted programs provisionally for 2 hours from 11.31 am to 01.30 pm. Eventually, it is now broadcasting programs for 10 hours in 2 shifts from 11.00 am to 09.00 pm through medium wave 1431 kHz, FM 104 MHz and mobile app. 

Bangladesh Betar, Bandarban broadcasts a wide range of programs- both entertaining and awareness building- and promotes various development activities of the government. Besides, special programs are aired on important national days as well. As part of the local programs, Tribal language songs and news in Chakma, Marma and Tripura languages along with its Bengali counterpart are one of the notable features of this regional center.

At present this center has taken the initiative to form Kishore Kishori Betar Club in different upazilas with support from UNICEF. Above all, Bangladesh Betar, Bandarban is making relentless efforts to improve the quality of its radio programs and to meet the expectation of its audience.
